The end of 2018 is fast looming and with it a number of club related activities.

Entries have now closed for the Annual Vets Tournament and we would like to wish all those playing good weather and great golf.

Freyberg Masters Championship Golf Tournament - November 11 -16

Renee and the Proshop team have communicated details of this prestigious tournament to be held on our Centennial course over the week commencing 11 November.

This is a coup for the Taupo Golf Club as hosting rights for what is one of the major tournaments on NZ Golf's calendar is sought after, particularly by the top metropolitan clubs.

For the 2018 Freyberg ‘Taupo' Masters to be a success it requires the goodwill and support of all members of our club. Goodwill in that it means that Centennial will be closed to members for the week other than late in the day and, if practical, on Wednesday afternoon. The Proshop team will advise availability via their weekly email.

Support for the tournament comes in the form of volunteers. Thus far we have had offers of help from members however we are still short of numbers. We do need more helpers, even if it only for a couple of hours on one or two days. Currently the small band of helpers are required to help for all six days and thIs may be too much for some.

Please consider this plea for help and if you can give us a few hours support, then email or call the Proshop.

Trev Terry Marine Business House Twilight Series

The business house twilight series commences on November 22 with four consecutive weekly rounds followed by the final four rounds from January 31st 2019.

Thanks to our new advertising sponsor Trev Terry Marine for supporting this event. If you have not yet entered a team you still have time. It promises to be a fun event with weekly and comp prizes galore. Plus there will be food provided after each round as part of the entry fee.

Don’t delay if you are thinking about entering a team.

A reminder to diary this date for our Annual General Meeting. Formal notice will be sent out mid November along with the relevant meeting papers.
